Listing Spotlight: 6023 S Cherrywood Circle // Centennial, Colorado

My latest luxury listing in Centennial was an absolute HIT to say the least.

Originally designed by Aubrey Brelsford of Brelsford & Childress architects, this home was designed by the architect for his son Glen and his son’s wife Mary in 1963. Glen was a woodworker, so sometime in the ‘90s the homeowners converted the one car garage into a woodworking shop, and added on a second two car garage. While the new garage mirrors the original side, you can tell that it was an addition by the use of different building materials - from the clerestory windows, to the thickness of the fascia to the difference in the brick patina. They just don’t make them like they used to!

This home had over 42K digital impressions on the Mid Mod Dream Homes social channels when we went live on the MLS. We had our first offer within 12 hours, and through the weekend had over 70 showings and 2 open houses with lines out the door. Many people in this neighborhood came by to see the home, as people who typically buy in this locale don’t sell or move for years - if not decades. It’s an extremely communal neighborhood on a private circle, and yet it is close to all of the best things Centennial has to offer - walking distance to the Highline Canal, a 5 minute drive from the shops at Southglenn, and super close to Littleton, Greenwood Village, etc.

This was the first time the home had ever hit the open market on MLS since it was built. My sellers had bought the property a few months prior but NEVER lived in the home, as they are actually neighbors down the street who purchased the property from the trust off market when there was no next of kin interested in keeping it. They had a laundry list of improvements they made to the property, which was already in extremely well maintained condition from the original owners. They originally planned on moving in and so did a lot of high quality work in a very short period of time, only to decide that they wanted to put it on the market. From a new roof, to a new A/C unit, electrical, furnace, water heater, the whole 9 yards - EVERYTHING about this home was in turnkey condition and very well done. The sellers were keen to keep the best original features intact, while making sure the updates were tasteful and properly designed.

This home eventually went Under Contract for WAY above asking with multiple backup offers. Stay tuned to find out more about the final sold price :)
